It is built to the footprint of a payment card and sits flat in a wallet or cardholder. That is the whole point of the shape: nothing bulges, nothing dangles, and the wallet still closes the way it did before.
Treat it as everyday splash resistant rather than waterproof. It lives happily in a wallet, bag or glovebox, but it is not made for submersion, so take it out before swimming or putting a bag through a wash.
Yes, though placement matters. RFID sleeves and metal wallets can weaken the Bluetooth signal and shorten range. Put the card in an outer or non-metal slot rather than sandwiched between two metal layers.
It uses Apple's Find My network. Once paired it shows up in the Items tab next to your other devices, so you can see it on the map or make it ring when it is close by. Nearby Apple devices relay its location anonymously.
Hold the power button for about three seconds to wake it. Open Find My, tap the plus icon and choose Add Other Item, then tap Connect when the card appears. Name it, agree to link it to your Apple ID and tap Finish.
Yes. Each card is added as its own item with its own name and icon, so a wallet, a suitcase and a laptop sleeve all appear separately in the list. Adding the second and third takes about as long as the first.
